Middletown Town Beach, RI
This beach near Newport is called Middletown Town Beach, which is parking for residents only.
If you want to go, try going in the off season, or try third beach which is right next to it.
There's several beach cabins nearby, that have been passed down from generation to generation.
During the summer there is a beach tractor that rakes it and makes the sand smooth.
There are lots of shells for beachcombing.
This beach is never crowded, but does tend to get closed to swimming a lot in the summer. Sometimes we see people on horses riding by.
Third beach
Third beach is next door and has deep sand. Usually the waves do not get high here, because it sits in a cove. A great place to watch the sun rise in the morning.
Third beach is a nice family beach, and beachcombing is fun. Lots of deep rockfree sand. There is a boat launch at Third Beach too. Last time we were there they were rebuilding Third Beach to make it even nicer.
