Lincoln Woods State Park Beach

This is a nice state park located north of Providence in Lincoln, RI, and is very well maintained.
The whole area is very scenic and has a long history of use.
There is a great snack bar and outdoor showers.
There are paths for hiking, or fish along the shore.
Lincoln Woods is a very popular beach because it is a freshwater lake and not far from Providence.
Kind of a place to get out to the country for awhile.
It's a romantic spot as well, there's a large boulder where young couples sit and talk while enjoying the view.
There are outdoor showers that are very nice and the children seem to enjoy them.
The day we went it was not crowded at all because of a storm coming. So we practically had the beach all to ourselves.
DIRECTIONS: Lincoln Woods Park and Beach is north of Providence RI Take Hwy.146 North when I 95 splits north of Providence, travel about 5 miles and start watching for signs.
There is also an outdoor Drive in Theater on Hwy 146. I would like to go spend a day at the beach and then get something to eat, then go to the Drivein! Sounds Great!
