These pictures were taken at Monument Beach.
On the other side of the Bourne bridge we saw the Yankee Thrift Motel, a Knight's Inn and got gas for about the same price as Connecticut, and then set our sights on finding Monument Beach.
On the way we passed the Bay View Campground.
Monument Beach was easy to find. We followed Hwy 28 south and turned on Clay Pond Rd. At the end of the road you make a left and there it is.
There was some parking on the street and there were signs that read, "Parking by Beach Permit Only." So Monument Beach must be a town beach.
The parking lot for Monument Beach was full. Monument Beach also have a snack bar and lifeguards were on duty.
There is a marina with pier nearby.
Driving Directions
Follow Hwy 28 south and turn on Clay Pond Rd.
