HorseNeck Beach
and Campground Info
On our recent trip to Cape Cod, we did some catching up with our beach pictures and stopped to catch a glimpse of Horseneck Beach and Campground.
The first picture is at the entrance of Horseneck Beach. The line of cars was pretty long and we didn't stay.
But we found out that the entrance charge for the beach is $7.00 Horseneck Seasonal Beach Fees
Horseneck Beach also has a campground. It looks like a little RV city and it seems you have to hike to the beach. Campground hours are 8am to 10pm.
The camping season is Mid May to Mid-October The rates are MA residents $15. or Non Residents $17.00 to make reservations call 1-877-422-6762

If you would like to go to a free beach, just continue down the road and when it come to an end make a right, and follow the little road out to Gooseberry Island.
The waves are real rough on the north side, yet on the south side of this little island, the waves are calm, and the bathers were on the calm side. It's a small island and there is not much parking, but it sure looked like fun.

Driving Directions
Take Interstate 195 South from Providence, Exit 10 - Hwy. 88 south to Hwy. 6, Horseneck Beach exit. to south 88
Staying on Route 6 will give you more information about the beaches then staying on Interstate 195.
From Boston: Rte. 93 south to Rte. 128 north. Follow Rte. 128 north a short distance to Rte. 24 south. Follow Rte 24 south to Fall River and the intersection with Rte. 195 east. Follow 195 east to exit 10 and Rte. 88 south. Follow Rte. 88 south 11 miles to the end and follow the signs.
From Providence, RI: Follow Rte. 195 east to exit 10 and Rte. 88 south. Follow Rte. 88 south 11 miles to the end and follow the signs.
From Cape Cod: Take 495 north to Rte. 195 west. Follow 195 west to exit 10 and Rte. 88 south. Follow Rte. 88 south 11 miles to the end and follow the signs.
